Westcon Convergence wins CN Award for "Distributor of the Year."

Westcon Group, Inc., the leading specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, announced that its Westcon Convergence business has won the CN Award for "Distributor of the Year." The award was accepted by David Grant, vice president of Westcon Convergence Europe, at the awards event at London's Hilton on October 1st, 2009.

The award category is for communications distributors operating in the 'traditional' business telecoms market. Entrants had to demonstrate how they have helped resellers grow their businesses through identifying market opportunities, supported by effective logistics, technical & sales support, incentive schemes, finance facilities, account management and ease of doing business. In addition, the entries had to be submitted by a channel partner. The submission for Westcon was made by Unified Communications Integrator, Connect Communications, who partners with Westcon for both Nortel and Avaya business.
