Nortel Recognises Westcon Convergence for Channel Excellence

LONDON, 15 June 2009 - Westcon Group, Inc., the leading specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, announced that Dave Garwood and Claire Sames, members of the Westcon Convergence UK Nortel team, have been officially recognised by Nortel as bringing excellence to the channel. Garwood scooped the award for Best Channel Marketer, whilst Sames was awarded Best Distribution Account Manager. The awards were presented at a recent Nortel PartnerFocus event earlier this month in London.

Claire Sames, an account manager at Westcon Convergence has been noted for her proactive and enthusiastic approach and outstanding support to Westcon Nortel channel partners. Garwood, Westcon’s European Nortel Product Manager, was recognised for consistently producing excellent channel marketing materials.
