Westcon Group Appoints Nico Vliex as Sales Director, Westcon Group BV

HOUTEN, THE NETHERLANDS, May 15, 2006 —Westcon Group, Inc. announced that Nico Vliex has been appointed to the position of sales director, Westcon Group BV. Mr. Vliex will report directly to Thuur Tonnaer, managing director of Westcon Group BV, in the newly created position.

Vliex has a broad background of experience in technology, with nearly two decades of experience in areas such as purchasing, account management and sales.  Most recently, he was business team manager at Dutch integrator Kender Thijssen, and prior to that held positions including sales manager and account manager at telephony manufacturer Ericsson Telecommunications where he spearheaded channel sales and supervised a specialized sales team. While at Kender Thijssen, Mr. Vliex was also responsible for addressing the SMB market.

Thuur Tonnaer commented: “As our convergence, security and mobility strategies begin to gain substantial traction in the market, we are pleased to bring on Nico to lead our sales team. Nico has the channel background and the sales acumen required to help Westcon Group expand its sales presence in the Benelux region.”

Vliex started his new position on May 8th, 2006 and will be based out of Westcon Group’s offices in Houten, the Netherlands.
