Westcon Group Sweeps MicroScope Awards for Channel Excellence (ACEs), Earning “Specialist Distributo

Slough, England, June 6, 2007--Westcon Group, Inc., the leading specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, was recently awarded two of MicroScope’s Awards for Channel Excellence. The awards,“Networking and Communications Distributor of the Year” and “Specialist Distributor of the Year,” were accepted on behalf of Westcon Group by Jon Pritchard, managing director of Westcon Group UK.

MicroScope is a leading channel publication based in the United Kingdom. The ACE awards recognise excellence in the channel, and award nominees are judged on merit by an independent group of panelists who include ex-Bell Microproducts European President Ian French, AMD’s Richard Baker, Intellect’s John Higgins and Graydon’s Martin Williams. In addition to the highly qualified panel of judges, hundreds of votes were submitted by the UK reseller community in the hopes of recognizing their distributors and other channel organisations of choice.
